Job Presentation
Key Outputs
Collate and verify data on all raw materials inspected and any production inputs and stock.
Ensure all thermometers, weighing scales and measurement equipment in the factory are calibrated and are working accurately.
Ensure that all equipment and food surfaces in the factory are cleaned and sanitized before commencement of production activities.
Ensure there is no possibility of cross contamination or recontamination before production resumes especially after maintenance work or seamer jams.
Collaborate with the HR Department in ensuring that all new recruits/personnel are trained as per the Company’s Training/Induction Program and all other personnel are provided with appropriate on-the-job training needs as and when identified.
Ensure packaging materials and empty cans inspection are carried out according to specifications and account for total cans destroyed on the floor by seamer.
Ensure that swabs are taken periodically to indicate whether all run ways in the plant are well cleaned and disinfected.
Handle situations which arise so that product safety is maintained with minimum financial loss
To be responsible for sample preparation or trials for new products or orders and also product development, heat preparation and distribution studies.
Conduct monthly file audits on all QC monitoring records.
Ensure that water used in the factory is chlorinated in accordance with Cosmo Seafoods Co. Ltd best portable water treatment practices.

Performs ad hoc duties assigned to him/her by superiors.
In the absence of the incumbent Head of QC, assume role and perform duties as such.
Compliance with all Company’s Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and accident –free working environment.


Working Experience: 1 - 3 Years

Education: First Degree
Requirements
  • Experience, Knowledge, Competencies and Skills required:
  • Must possess degree in Food Science/Biochemistry or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar field
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be innovative, a critical thinker and a team player
  • Must be knowledgeable in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and other relevant food safety management systems.
