JOB PURPOSE:
The successful candidate shall survey, install, provide, and maintain Fixed Voice and Broadband Last-mile connectivity (via Copper and Fibre) and in some instances radio connectivity to customers.
The role reports to the Senior Customer Service Engineer.
ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Ensures only work that are covered by Service Orders and issued through by Schedule Controllers are carried out at the customers premises.
Sets off to customers’ premises only after confirmation with the customer of their availability.
Tests and configures of Line-drivers, modems, routers and other Customer-End-Equipments.
Uses a device to access the Job Manager for all field works to cover allocated jobs by schedule controllers for all Surveys, Installations, and Repair jobs and maintains high quality of workmanship standards whilst being efficient and cost effective.
Updates job status with relevant resolution codes and gets customer sign off at all times and ensures all work is carried out in compliance with the Organisation’s safety requirements.
Ensures Network/Data records are updated on job completion.

Requirements
- Electronics & Electrical Engineering Part II or its equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge in Telecommunication networks architecture
- Hand-on experience on IP Networks and infrastructure
- Experience in the design and/or implementations of the last-mile of Lease-lines, WAN and data services
- Working and understanding of IP/MPLS VPN technologies
- Basic PABX Configuration
- CCNA is an added advantage
- Must have clean driving record, and possess valid driving incense
- Point to point and point to multipoint connectivity is an added advantage
- Basic IT skills
