The Construction Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on construction sites, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. The role requires a hands-on approach to managing on-site staff, and subcontractors and liaising with project managers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision:
Oversee and manage day-to-day construction activities on-site.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
Monitor the work progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure deadlines are met.
2. Team Management:Supervise, guide, and support on-site workers and subcontractors.
Conduct regular toolbox meetings to ensure safety and productivity.
Resolve any work-related issues and conflicts efficiently.
3. Health & Safety:Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement safety protocols.
Conduct safety inspections and address any hazards immediately.
Maintain safety documentation, such as incident reports and safety meeting minutes.
4. Quality Control:Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality standards are being met.
Identify defects and ensure they are corrected before project completion.
Coordinate with the quality assurance team to meet inspection criteria.
5. Material Management:Monitor the use of construction materials to avoid waste and ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with suppliers for material procurement and inventory tracking.
6. Communication:Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to provide updates on project status.
Prepare and present site reports and other necessary documentation to management.
Address client concerns and ensure their expectations are met.
7. Budget and Cost Management:Monitor site expenses and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
Proactively identify areas where cost savings can be made without compromising quality.
8. Documentation:Maintain accurate records of site activities, material deliveries, worker attendance, and job progress.
Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained and recorded.
Education Required: Diploma/First degree
