Review of Kumasi Catering Rest House(J.Stanley-Owusu Group of Companies)

If you are looking for cheap, humble accommodations...you're in luck. This place is in need of a serious make over. Everything is OLD and DIRTY. The bathroom is so old that the sink and tub are pink...yep, I said PINK. The kitchen is FILTHY!!! There is a small refrigerator that is dirty inside. The Internet is constantly disconnecting. Don't even wonder if there is cable...cable is a ghost...and the Internet is a mirage. In the bedroom there is an old box tv (hunch back as I call them) and all of the furniture is old. I am supposed to be here in Kumasi on business for 3 weeks. I am working at the hospital located withing walking distance. When I arrived in the room I thought 'Ok, at least it's spacious. Maybe I can stay here.' At this point I keep telling myself, "self you need to check out tomorrow." The only good points: it's located in "the heart of town," it's spacious (if you like outdated, dirty space), it's close to the hospital and it has AC. Is everyone friendly? Uh, yes...but if the place was renovated and clean...they could be as rude as they wanted to be...I would feel like I am home away from home.

PS. I am NOT a spoiled American...just a clean one.
