Question for IELTS Tuition Centre

What is the difference between IELTS for UKVI and the former IELTS?
PUBLIC USER
We can compare the two in terms of content, usage and administration.

Firstly, the both IELTS for UKVI and the 'Standard' IELTS have the same content. The two tests have the same difficulty levels. The same questions are given to candidates taking both test.

The IELTS for UKVI is used for UK institutions in addition to institutions in other countries. The instructions include schools, professional bodies and immigration authorities. Whilst the so called standard IELTS is accepted everywhere but the UK.

Lastly, IELTS for UKVI is administered separately from the standard IELTS.The test registrations are done on different websites and the IELTS for UKVI test centre is only in Accra (British Council). The other has centres in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale.
