Question for Stanbic Bank Gh. Ltd. (Head Office)

I'm being asked to send a great deal of money to a person at your bank for medical deposit for a man's daughter in Lekma Hospital. I have an account number but why would I send it to a person instead of the hospital. Is this a scam?
