Question for Ghana Police Service

Has the road between Kumasi and Accra been cleared by the police of the bad robbers and robberies I have been hearing about going on for the last 3 day's up to today: Sept. 12th, 2015? Have the police deemed the road safe for travel and have it open now? Thank you so much.
