Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a non-governmental policy and research organization dedicated to discovering and advancing what works to improve the lives of people living in poverty. Combining technical rigor, immediate policy interest, and a solid grounding in the needs of the poor, IPA’s work helps practitioners better allocate their resources and improve their operations. IPA has been fully registered and working in Ghana since 2009.
IPA is looking to recruit Assistant Field Managers to manage field activities on a new research project. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position.
Position Summary
The Assistant Field Manager will work closely with the Field Manager and will oversee the adequate execution of all field-based data collection activities. The Assistant Field Manager will perform the following responsibilities:

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- A Bachelor’s or higher degree in Economics, Statistics, Agriculture, or related field.
- Project management experience, as well as experience supervising, designing and implementing data collection and managing large teams of enumerators/surveyors, is preferred;
- Field research knowledge (Familiarity with RCT and other field research methodologies, survey techniques, and data collection procedures is highly beneficial)
- Fluency in English and Dagbani with experience working in northern Ghana;
- Experience in field data collection is a plus;
- Excellent management, communication and organizational skills;
- Experience working in an international NGO is a plus;
- Experience in using SurveyCTO and Stata is a plus.
