VIS is an Italian NGO formally recognized by the Ghanaian government since 2015 (the NGO was certified to commence business on 03 June 2016, under the Registrar General’s department of the Republic of Ghana with the registration n. CG030922016). VIS’s vision conceives a world where every person can fully enjoy his/her rights and participate with dignity and actively in the life of the community favoring his/her development. VIS’s mission is to promote the development and strengthen each person’s capabilities – as individual and as member of a community – with particular attention to the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people, providing them with education, training and employment opportunities as well as tools for the promotion and protection of their rights.

General Context Of The ProjectVIS has been active in Ghana since 2015, mainly in the areas of vocational training, migration, organic farming, and education. The priority objective of VIS in Ghana is to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable segment of the population, focusing mainly on youth and providing vocational training and job placement services. Regarding the main geographical areas of intervention in the country, the NGO's commitment is highlighted: in Accra (Greater Accra Region) and in the Bono, Bono East and Western regions. The Quick Initiative Project, in which the Field Officer will be inserted, aimsto enhance the educational and cultural environment in Ghana, focusing on ten coastal communities within the Ellembelle district (Western Region). The project promotes digitalisation, innovative teaching methodologies, library management, women’s health and menstrual hygiene, extracurricular activities, and social clubs in 10 schools. Its general objective is to strengthen the educational system and cultural landscape, while the specific objective aims to foster the intellectual, cultural, and skills development of students and vulnerable community members. General Purpose Of The PositionThe Field Officer will be responsible for implementing project activities funded by Eni Ghana Exploration and Production Limited in the Western region of Ghana, based in the Ellembelle district. S/he will support the Project Manager (PM) in ensuring the operational and logistical management of field activities and their monitoring.Her/his responsibilities include the implementation of on-site activities, the financial management of on-site expenditures and their reporting, on-site data collection and analysis for project monitoring and evaluation, and reporting on implemented activities.
