Reports To: General Manager
Position Overview:
The Security Coordinator/Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations at Shornaa Island Amusement Park. This includes ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. The position requires an experienced security professional with expertise in managing large crowds, emergency response, surveillance systems (CCTV), and overall park safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Security Operations Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive security plans to ensure the safety of the park's guests, staff, and property.
Coordinate security personnel schedules and daily security operations, ensuring proper coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
Conduct risk assessments and regular safety audits of the park's facilities and attractions.
Establish and enforce security protocols for all events, operations, and emergency situations.
Manage and monitor CCTV surveillance systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activity.
2. Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of security personnel, ensuring they are equipped to handle crowd control, incident response, and daily patrol duties.
Lead regular security training sessions, including emergency response, crisis management, and first aid training.
Maintain open communication with all departments to align security protocols with operational needs.
3. Incident Management:
Respond promptly and effectively to any security incidents, including theft, altercations, accidents, or other emergencies.
Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and providing recommendations for preventive measures.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
4. CCTV and Surveillance:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of the park's CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
Regularly review footage and ensure prompt responses to suspicious activities.
Implement protocols for the use, storage, and management of CCTV footage in compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.
5. Policy Development & Compliance:
Develop and update security policies and procedures in line with national and international safety standards.
Ensure compliance with all local security laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Prepare security reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
6. Crowd Control & Safety:
Plan and coordinate crowd management strategies during peak times, events, and holidays.
Ensure clear and effective emergency evacuation procedures are in place and communicated to staff and guests.
Monitor entry and exit points, ensuring all areas are secure and potential threats are minimized.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably within large public venues such as amusement parks, malls, or stadiums.
Proven experience in handling CCTV surveillance systems and emergency response situations.
Education:
A degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred, but not required if experience is sufficient.
Security certifications (such as CPP, PSP, or local equivalents) are highly advantageous.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Good knowledge of crowd control, risk assessment, and emergency response protocols.
Familiarity with CCTV systems and security technology.
