Job Overview:
The Agro Sales Officer will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for the company’s agro products in the assigned region. This includes managing relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing customers with product knowledge and technical support. Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development:
Achieve sales targets for agro products such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, or other crop inputs.
Identify new customers and business opportunities within the agriculture sector.
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share in the assigned territory.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with farmers, distributors, and other key stakeholders in the agriculture sector.
Provide technical support and consultation to clients regarding product usage and crop management.
Address and resolve customer queries, complaints, and product-related issues effectively.
Product Knowledge & Training:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, product innovations, and competitor activities.
Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients and retailers.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and feedback in CRM systems.
Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to management.
Market Analysis & Strategy:
Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics, and recommend strategies to gain a competitive advantage.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and events that align with sales objectives.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with the logistics, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Assist in coordinating training sessions for new products or customer needs.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field (preferred).
Certification in sales or marketing is a plus.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in agro product sales or related field.
Experience in working with farmers, agronomists, or in agricultural retail sales is a plus.
Skills:
Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of agro products and agricultural practices.
Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused attitude.
Personal Attributes:
