The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory body established by the NRA Act, 2015 (Act 895) and began operations in January 2016. The NRA has a statutory responsibility for regulating civilian use of nuclear and other radioactive materials and is preparing itself to regulate Ghana’s nuclear power programme.
The NRA is seeking to recruit to fill various positions in its organisational structure. The NRA hereby invites qualified Ghanaians to apply for any of the positions listed below.
An Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer for a nuclear regulatory body reviews the design, development and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants, research reactors, and other nuclear facilities.
Key required tasks are:
Education Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Minimum Education
- Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecom or Instrumentation Engineering or related field. Bachelors degree with significant experience in instrumentation and control for power plants could may be considered.
- Certifications & Knowledge
- Good understanding of electrical power systems, and software like LabVIEW, EPICS, or SIMULINK, etc. will be an advantage.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 - 5-years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering with focus on power plants. Nuclear knowledge would be an advantage.
