  • As a Quality Control Officer, you will assess product or service quality, identify defects or deviations from standards, and implement corrective actions to maintain or improve quality levels. Your role involves performing inspections, audits, and tests to verify compliance with quality requirements and customer expectations.

    Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, materials, components, and finished products or services to identify quality issues, defects, or non-conformities.
  • Review specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to understand quality requirements, tolerances, and acceptance criteria for products or services.
  • Collect and analyze quality data, metrics, and performance indicators to evaluate process capabilities, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document and report quality findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken, maintaining accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability.
  • Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and suppliers to address quality issues, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to identify underlying causes of quality issues.
  • Participate in product development and validation activities, providing input on design reviews, risk assessments, and validation protocols to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies during quality audits, inspections, or certifications, providing documentation and support as needed.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and inspections, evaluating supplier performance, capabilities, and adherence to quality standards, and communicating feedback to suppliers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in quality management practices, participating in training programs, seminars, and professional development activities.

  • Education Required: BA/BSc

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, industrial technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or quality management roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
    • Familiarity with quality standards, regulations, and requirements applicable to the industry.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve quality and process performance.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing inspections, measurements, and tests, ensuring compliance with quality specifications and acceptance criteria.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues.
    • Proficiency in using quality control tools and software, such as statistical analysis software, quality management systems (QMS), and document control systems.
    • Leadership and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to lead quality improvement projects, train and mentor team members, and foster a culture of quality excellence.
    • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and responding to changing business needs and customer requirements.
