About the Role
Simprints is growing in Ghana. We have proven that our technology can support partners in increasing the impact of their projects, with a new company strategy emphasizing a clear impact focus and expectations of deepening impact and how we generate data to evidence this. If you are passionate about support a growing evidence base of impact, and have previous experience in managing or coordinating large-scale research grants, ideally within the health sector in Ghana, we want to hear from you.
Simprints has successfully acquired grant funding to conduct a large scale randomised control trial (RCT) to test the impact of its solution in Ghana. As Research Manager, you will be part of the Delivery team in Simprints, primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely implementation of the study, leading donor reporting and representing Simprints in meetings with the Ghana Health Services. The role will take on project management responsibilities with a focus on coordinating research activities with our local partner, Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) Ghana.
The Research Manager will also contribute to broader evidence-building efforts for Simprints global portfolio, working with the Head of Monitoring Evaluation and Impact to develop a research and evidence-building strategy and providing technical support to evaluation and research initiatives.
As Research manager you will work together with the Simprints project team in Ghana, Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact colleagues around the world and academics from world-leading universities, establishing excellent working relationships and supporting all partners to deliver world-class research.

Primary Function: The Delivery team at Simprints is responsible for the successful implementation of our projects in the field. They work closely with partners and internal teams to ensure projects are executed smoothly, meeting both technical and operational requirements to deliver maximum impact.

Role Responsibilities
Education Required: Master’s Degree
- A master's degree or higher in public health, social sciences, development studies, or a related field, with a strong focus on research methodologies and impact evaluation, preferably within the health sector
- 5 + years of experience in the research, monitoring and evaluation field within the international development and global health sector.
- 5 + years of experience in managing or coordinating multi-partner research projects, balancing technical requirements with practical realities at field level.
- Thorough understanding of key research concepts and processes such research methodologies, data collection, and analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in coordinating with GHS (or other Government Stakeholders) would be a strong advantage.
- Experience of USAID Grant Management or other institutional donors.
- Organised, process-oriented, and attentive to following through on planned tasks and activities. You know how to allocate and shift resources to support team members as needed, ensuring that project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Preferred knowledge in digital health, understanding digital ecosystem in Ghana especially in relation to child vaccination.
- Preferred skills in using digital task management platforms such as Jira, Asana, Click-up or any other.
- The role requires frequent travel within Ghana's Oti region.
