Our client, a pharmaceutical industry is looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of SECURITY OFFICER to assist in the daily coordination of administrative activities in the company.
ROLE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to the company’s contracted security guard force, and play an integral role in the delivery of security strategy to reduce risk and emerging threats, ensuring the safety and protection of all company assets.
He or she will report directly to the head of Human Resources, and perform the following duties as well:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle all security-related matters and provide a range of manned guarding services to protect company assets.
Provide hands-on, day-to-day leadership, supervision, and direction to a large contracted security guard force and liaise with the contractor’s management team.
Manage the guard rooms/posts, ensuring security policy is adhered to and the operational effectiveness of all procedural, physical, and technical security measures are maintained at all times.
Ensure all official security records and paperwork is administered effectively.
Cooperate with the Head of HR, providing an out-of-hours response to security incidents, assisting in the coordination of security resources, and management of any emergency response.
Monitor and report to the Head of HR security breaches and security-related incidents, and assist with post-breach/incident management.
Plan and execute security strategy for large events and visits.
Coordinate and administer duty rosters for the contracted security guard force across all sites.
Administer all necessary paperwork to allow timely and accurate financial forecasting and billing on behalf of both the contracted guard force and company, including guard leave, timesheets, overtime, and requests for additional guards and other resources.
Liaise and coordinate with the Government Security agencies such as the Police.
Develop and deliver training to the contracted security guard force to improve personal standards, ensuring a robust, effective, and coordinated response to incidents.
Participate actively in security incident practice drills.
Handle the induction of new security guards.
Identify and report faults within security systems to the Head of HR in a timely manner, executing and monitoring remedial action accordingly.
Maintain an accurate inventory of security equipment, ensuring all equipment is in satisfactory working order.
Responsible for the regular testing of physical and technical security measures.
Coordinate with other departments within the company to build relationships ensuring quality of service.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- First degree in Administration or related field.
- Previous experience in military, police, or commercial security experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a security officer/coordinator.REQUIREMENTS
- Should demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and ability to command respect.
- Possess the ability to think innovatively and be prepared to make decisions.
- Must have a good knowledge of IT systems and be able to use MS Office.
- Should demonstrate the ability to write reports efficiently and on time.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Possess personal drive and the ability to be a self-starter as well as a team player.
- Demonstrate Strong organisational, analytical, and time management skills, with very good attention to detail.
- Must be Flexible, resilient under pressure, and decisive with a proven track record of delivering results to a high standard within tight deadlines.
- Possess good knowledge of access control, event security, and incident response, in addition to a range of manned guarding duties.
