The holder of this role takes full responsibility for the safety and security of all persons and goods belonging to/present on the funeral home premises.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan direct and supervise security activity on the funeral home premises.
Overseeing the daily operations of the company to identify potential security risks and room for improvements.
Reviewing existing security measures and updating protocols as needed.
Manage electronic security systems – CCTV, alarms etc.
Supervise and continuously train security officers to ensure safety of people and property on site.
Ensure implementation and adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
Maintain proper records of movement of persons and goods into and out of the premises – with particular attention to the reception and departure of bodies.
Maintain strict protocols regarding access to deceased, unplanned/unauthorized family gathering etc. while displaying a great amount of tact.
Maintain a good relationship with local security agencies, Police Service, Fire Service etc.
Determine requirements for additional/third party security arrangements.
Investigate security breaches and report to Management as well as security reports on a monthly basis.
Fostering a culture of security and safety awareness for all staff through training sessions and informal interactions with staff.
Managing, evaluating, and resolving any security incidents or breaches.
Ensuring that the company's security policies comply with the countries laws and legislations.
Presenting risk assessments and improved security policies to management team members.
Education Required: Diploma
