Green Energy Ghana is the implementing organisation of The Special Treat Project.
The Special Treat Project is a waste-to-value project designed based upon Ghanaian needs and priorities. The project is driven by public and private parties from Ghana and the Netherlands and aims to improve the living conditions of 300,000 people in Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Ga Central and Ga West (Ghana), through improved sanitation, waste water treatment and re-use of energy, in terms of health, economy and environment. The project is becoming operational between 2018 and 2020. In the end the team has constructed 6 public sanitation blocks, a waste water transfer station and a waste water treatment & re-use plant. The treatment plant will produce products out of liquid and organic waste.
The project will have Show more an enabling environment programme, offering capacity building and organisational development to implementing and enabling parties and public awareness and behaviour change to the inhabitants of the project areas.
