General Training and Life Skills modules of the test.

IELTS is administered in Ghana under the UKVI and the ‘Standard’ forms (authorities).

IELTS for UKVI has the Academic, General Training and Life Skills modules. The Academic test is available in paper and computer-based formats. IELTS for UKVI, even though, has the same content as that of the Standard IELTS is only held in Accra and the certificate accepted is across the world.

The Standard IELTS which was the only format that existed from the inception of the test until 2015 when the UKVI was introduced. This type is available only in Academic and General Training modules and the certificate is used everywhere except for the UK. There are three test centres in Ghana for the standard IELTS- Accra, Kumasi and Tamale.
