Africano Electro acting as sub-contractors in the area of design consultancy and engineering and installation, is involved in a nationwide retrofitting of existing traffic lights originally powered by national grid, now powered by solar.

This in no small way will remove the congestion off roads especially when the national grid fails.
Total installed capacity for this nationwide project exceeds 4MW of power produced via solar and wind sources powering our traffic lights.

In connection with the local authority, commercial entitites we have consulted for, provided stand specification and supplied with solar powered street lights.

These lights are designed to provide high illumination for commercial permission and public areas where business activities are carried out.

AEL has invested substantially in a 100MW solar farm project, south of the country in the Volta region.
The total 100MW project has been given the green light by the power ministry and all preparation is underway for completion of phase 1 which is 20MW due to be completed by November 2017.
Again we have 3 private BOT agreements signed with the local instituions totaling 150MW to build solar and wind powered utility scale power plants to run their businesses.
Our contribution to national development and government of Ghana's (GOG) desire to improve the energy mix with renewable sources remains poised.
