Cured of Persistent fevers
This was long ago and the real reason for this was to re-connect to Dr. Poku Bonsu. I hope he is still around . I was suffering from persistent fevers in the early nineties and all l had from orthodox hospitals was l was suffering from Malaria. Malaria every month was very abnormal to me as the norm as l knew it would be once in a year or two. I was loosing weight badly and in those days the gossip around me would be aids. I definitely knew it wasn’t so. I saw Peace Clinics ad in a paper then - ‘The Chronicle’ if l am right . Acupuncture treatment. I was at the clinic at the earliest opportune time. Dr. Poku Bonsu simply pressed three fingers on my left wrist if my memory is right again (this was 1993) he said he was determining the condition of my heart, pancreas and liver. He immediately diagnosed a liver problem and immediately put me on treatment with all those needles. It was once a week treatment that went way into 1994. I was in a tertiary institution so l couldn’t make it on a daily basis. Saturdays it was . To cut a very long story short from suffering ‘Malaria’ almost every month between 1992-93 for 15 years l never suffered any debilitating episode of fever. Once in 2009 then another in 2014. The latter was an intestinal infection due to my carelessness in not washing vegetable leaves properly over a long period of time. Other than that any fever was very mild not requiring any medication but just rest and proper diet. His diagnosis led me to believe in a predominantly vegetarian diet as to not over tax my liver. I am 60 now and immediate retired lecturer of KNUST enjoying relatively good health as compared to nearly 30 years ago when rather as a young man l was suffering badly. Acapuncture, Mataheko Peace Clinic and a predominantly vegetarian diet was and still is my recognized formula for good health. I talk about it to all l meet when talking about health.
