1.0 JOB PURPOSE
The primary function of a Credit Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling micro-loans and other financial services to individuals and small businesses within our target market. You will play a crucial role in driving business growth, expanding our clientele, and empowering underserved communities by providing access to affordable credit and financial solutions.
2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and target potential clients within the micro-credit market, including micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, and individuals with limited access to traditional banking services.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets and objectives for products and services.
Conduct outreach activities, networking events, and community engagements to raise awareness and generate leads for marketing opportunities.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, aspirations, and challenges.
Conduct client assessments and needs analyses to determine eligibility for micro-loans and recommend suitable credit solutions based on their requirements.
Provide personalized financial advice and guidance to clients, empowering them to make informed decisions and improve their financial well-being.

Product Knowledge and Promotion:Develop a deep understanding of our micro-credit products, features, terms, and conditions, as well as competitor offerings in the market.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of our micro-loans and financial services to clients, highlighting key benefits such as flexible repayment options, low interest rates, and quick approval processes.
Utilize various marketing channels and promotional tools to promote micro-credit products, including digital marketing, social media, and community outreach initiatives

Performance Tracking and Reporting:Monitor and track sales performance metrics for products and services, including loan disbursements, repayment rates, portfolio growth, and profitability.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to evaluate performance trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit analysts team lead, operations staffs, and senior management, to align sales objectives with organizational goals and initiatives.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding credit applications to expedite the approval process.



Working Experience: 1 - 3 Years

Education: Higher National Diploma
Requirements
  • Higher Diploma/Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in credit analysis or lending, preferably in a microfinance environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local financial regulations and microfinance industry practices.
  • A valid driving license (Category B)
