A prestigious retail supermarket in Adenta, Accra is in search of an Inventory Controller. The ideal candidate would be responsible for managing the inventory operations of the retail supermarket, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient store operations. This role is integral in achieving customer satisfaction by ensuring the availability of products while controlling costs and preventing overstocking or shortages.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines.
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operational costs.
  • Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities.
  • Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management.
  • Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide excellent customer service as needed.


    • Education Required: HND/Bachelor

    Requirements
    • Hold HND/Bachelor of Science in Purchasing and Supply or Accounting
    • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, or logistics especially in a supermarket.
    • Must be IT savvy and proficient in MS Office suite especially MS Excel
    • Must have the physical ability to lift 10-25 pounds and sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl repeatedly.
    • Possesses superior organizational and communication skills.
