JOB PURPOSEThe purpose of this job is three fold:To increase enrolment of students in the school;
To raise funds for scholarship fund and school projects;
To improve branding and marketing of the school. Internally and externally.
The Resource Development/ Fundraising Officer has to develop a resource development plan which includes an enrolment improvement strategy, a fundraising strategy and to design and execute a branding and marketing plan for SFCS. This position involves the planning and execution of projects and activities that will in the short and long term increase enrolment, and raise funds for the school. This position will provide a direct impact on customer (prospective and existing students/ parent) satisfaction to deliver on reasonable internal and external customer and sponsor/donor expectations that translate into positive financial results for the school.
KEY TASKSGeneralPrepare a resource development plan which includes a branding, marketing and fundraising plan with targets, activities, deliverables and a budget.
Lead the implementation of the resource development plan including designing and executives strategies in the resource development plan.
Identify and pursue new clients & sponsors/ donors and opportunities to raise funds for the school (individual, corporate, grant, foundations etc)
Orient and train SFCS staff on fundraising and branding and marketing strategy.
Resource Development, Marketing, Fundraising Pro-actively hunt for target Parents and establish as well as follow through communications with those who will benefit from our services and those in SFCS will benefit from their service
Develop multi-tier relationships to grow students populations as well as sponsor and donor-based
Build referral and lead generation network with existing parents and alumni and sponsors.
Input into and implement school brand strategy
Ensure SFCS online presence (website, whats app, social media platforms align to new resource development, branding/marketing and fundraising strategy.
Forecast short and long term enrolment and business potential
Adopt a hands-on approach in monitoring the implementation and execution of marketing programs
Customer/Sponsor / Donor Relationship Management Increase frequency of engagement with new and existing parents and donors.
Carry out research, formulate market analysis and deliver accurate reports
Serves as a lead facilitator both internally and externally for projects
Develop and manage client communication tools such as corporate website, newsletters, school events etc
SET KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS & TARGETS (these should be measurable)Number of new enrolments
% retention of already enrolled students
Improved reputation * Increased visibility of school in Ghana and external (website & social media)
Number of new scholarship sponsors and new donors.
Amount of money raised internally and externally
Send email appreciation letters to sponsors/donors after honoring their pledges.
Create short videos of scholarship students as documentaries to update sponsors.
Other matters in relation to her scope of work .
