Abt. Global Inc., a US-based company, is implementing USAID–funded President’s Malaria Initiative Evolve project. The project supports the implementation of malaria vector control strategies such as bednet distribution and indoor residual spraying (IRS). In Ghana, Abt has been implementing IRS in the northern areas since 2011 and is currently preparing for the 2024 IRS campaign under the PMI Evolve Project, Ghana.

Successful candidates are REQUIRED to be based in the assigned districts. No lodging support is provided. Qualified candidates residing in the selected districts above will have an advantage. Successful candidates will be contracted for up to 5 months and report to the Indoor Residual Spray (IRS) Coordinator and Finance and Administrative Director.
Note: the project will not hire people under government payroll or employed by any other organization
Prior to recruitment, selected candidates will go through training to get oriented for the job tasks and responsibilities. Finance Assistants will be supervised by IRS Coordinators while in the field and report to the Finance and Administration Director.
Responsibilities of Finance Assistants
Education Required: HND
- Minimum of HND or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, with two years working experience in accounting, and Finance.
- Proficiency in English and one or more Ghanaian Northern Language is a plus.
- Work overtime if necessary and meet deadlines for reporting.
- Knowledge of USAID regulations is an advantage.
- Good level of competence in MS Excel and MS Word programs
- Good inter-personal communication skills
- Good organizational skills and good problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage people as well as work with people.
