Location: Tamale, Ghana

Recruitment, training, and supervision of Field teams during field surveys.
Development of training manuals for all data collection activities.
Managing finances and tracking field expenditures.
Assisting with data reconciliation and management.
Piloting and developing instruments with the Research Associate.
Managing and tracking survey and intervention equipment used in the field.
Accurately evaluating the performance of field staff during recruitment, training, and data collection.
Adhering to all IPA survey protocols and ensuring field teams also do the same.
Reporting all concerns and issues immediately to the Research Associate.
Promptly responding to contact from the Research Associate or other IPA staff;
Maintaining good relations with IPA, its employees, partner organizations, and project participants.
Performing other work-related duties that may be assigned.
Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a United States-based non-profit organization dedicated to discovering, and promoting effective solutions to global poverty problems. IPA designs, rigorously evaluate and refines these solutions and their applications together with decision-makers to ensure that the evidence created is used to improve opportunities for the world’s poor.
Position Summary
The Field Manager will work closely with the Research Associate and will oversee the adequate execution of all field-based data collection activities.
The Field Manager will perform the following responsibilities:

Requirements
- Skills or Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Project management experience including experience in supervising, designing, and implementing data collection and managing large teams of enumerators/surveyors is preferred.
- Field research knowledge (Familiarity with RCT and other field research methodologies, survey techniques, and data collection procedures is highly beneficial)
- Fluency in English, Dagbani, Gurune, Frafra and any other of the dominant languages in the survey sites.
- Excellent management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in an international NGO is a plus.
