PURCHASING / LOGISTICS OFFICER NEEDED AT SHORNAA ISLAND PARK
As the Logistics/Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, coordinating with suppliers, and managing logistics to ensure efficient operations. You will work closely with various departments to understand purchasing needs, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely deliveries. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure materials, supplies, and equipment essential to park operations, including F&B, maintenance, and retail inventory.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods, manage inventory levels, and optimize storage solutions.
Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records of purchases and stock levels.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to monitor budgets and optimize procurement processes.
Conduct periodic inventory audits to minimize wastage, track usage, and ensure sufficient stock for peak seasons.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to purchasing and logistics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or inventory management, ideally in a high-demand environment.
Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in inventory management and purchasing software.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
