Candidates must demonstrate their commitment and passion for improving education systems, and upholding equality and social change in Africa; the Research Lead should be a thought leader with published articles in the field of social development and education. AFC is particularly focused on research in the fields of basic education, early learning, gender equality, social inclusion, education in Emergencies and development on the continent. - Completed a Ph.D. or MPhil from a recognized University in the Social Sciences; preferably in education, economics, sociology, development studies, and other related fields with at least 3 to 5 years of research and/or consulting work experience.
- Should have a demonstrated interest in the field of education and social development along with experience in working in deprived areas of the continent.
- Have demonstrated qualitative and quantitative research skills, project management, team management and evaluation skills; excellent presentation, analysis and writing skills.
- Must have exceptional leadership, problem-solving, team building and management skills
