Job Presentation

A Teacher's Assistant is required for immediate employment at a Private Christian Basic (Primary and Junior High) School in the North Ridge Area of Accra.

Duties will be:

  • Assist the Class Teacher in supervising a class of about 25 pupils in the 5 to 6 years age group
  • Provide support to the Class Teacher in lesson delivery, when required
  • Stand in for the Class teacher when the teacher is temporarily away.


    • Education Required: First Degree

    Requirements
    • A First Degree (prefereably in Education)
    • Must have completed their National Service
    • Any experience working with young children of similar ages in a similar setting, ie a Private Christian Basic (Primary and JHS) School, will be an advantage.
    • A good written and spoken command of the English Language
    • Should be able to demonstrate Critical Thinking Skills
    • ICT proficiency
    • Must be able to participate in all aspects of school activities - academic and co-curricular
    • Live within a reasonable travelling distance of the North Ridge area.
    • Remuneration will be comensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointment is for a Fixed Term of 1 year, renewable for a 2nd year.
    • Successful candidates will be required to set a good example in terms of punctuality, attendance, behaviour and dress to enhance the School's reputation and standing with parents and pupils.
