Job Description

• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
• Create innovative and appealing menu items based on seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
• Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen helpers.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes by maintaining high standards.
• Manage inventory and food costs to optimize profitability while minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures.
• Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and culinary techniques to continually improve the menu and kitchen operations.
• Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Vocational/Technical certificate, HND or Degree or equivalent certification  in hospitality
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Creative flair and passion for food.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and kitchen safety procedures.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Applicant must be in the age range of 25-40years
• Must be a person who lives in Kumasi, specifically, Atonsu and its environs.
