Ghana Federation of the Disability Organizations (GFD) then Federation of Disabled Associations (FODA) was established in 1987 as a national umbrella organization of persons with disabilities with the then Ghana Association of the Blind (GAB), Ghana National Association of the Deaf (GNAD) and the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) being the founding members.
