The Centre for Biodiversity Conservation Research (CBCR) have a vision of biodiversity conservation and is committed to protecting biodiversity for sustainable livelihoods. As a research, training, and networking institution, the CBCR focuses on research that addresses the increasing complexity of conservation issues and human welfare. The Centre’s work packages cover, among other thematic areas, protected area management and species conservation; climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation; ecosystem services; nature-based solutions and community-driven conservation, supporting local communities to implement sustainable conservation and livelihood enhancement activities.
