Cenpower Generation Company - Accra, Ghana

Cenpower Generation Company Limited (Cenpower or CGC) is an innovative Special Purpose Vehicle created to construct the Kpone Independent Power Plant (KIPP) in the Tema industrial zone near Accra, Ghana's capital. Expected to come online in 2017, the KIPP will be one of the largest private IPPs in the country, providing approximately 10% of Ghana's total installed capacity and 15% of its available thermal energy capacity. As a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plant, it will be highly efficient and, once operational, will be a key component in meeting Ghana's growing electricity demand.
