At Ecovon, we believe there is a better way to make building materials. That is why we are working on innovating and redesigning the new generation of building materials. We are creating a sustainably sourced, bio-based wood alternative made from coconut husk and sugar cane bagasse that is free of formaldehyde and better for people and the planet. This product is the first of its kind to be created without the use of any additives or heavy chemicals, yet still has natural flame retardant and anti-fungal properties. Tests have shown that its physical properties are better than those of other engineered woods on the market. Not only is it stronger and more durable, but it is also much more affordable, and it helps to reduce our carbon footprint, prevent deforestation, and improve the lives

of locals in coconut and sugarcane producing countries like Ghana. During production, no glue or chemical agents are necessary, and the entire coconut husk is used. This makes it a great alternative to wood, and it is also CO2 neutral and inexpensive since the glue that is used to make wood fibre boards is not needed.
