The Brotar Foundation is a Ghana-based registered non-profit organization. The foundation’s name “Brotar” is a Portuguese word which means Sprout or Growth. The name was motivated by the Rio Conference in Brazil where the first discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) happened. It was chosen to signify the nurturing role that the foundation will be playing in the development of innovative means of achieving the SDGs 1,3,5,7 and 13.
