Aldersgate Foundation - Kumasi, Ghana

The Aldersgate Foundation (AF) is a Christian nongovernmental organization (NGO), based Ghana, with a Head-office in Kumasi. In Ashanti Region, we operate mainly from two centers which are Hamashiah Aldersgate Center-Kona and The Light Aldersgate Center -Afratia. Our activities are coordination from our Asuoyeboah home office, in Kumasi. Our plan to extend our operations to Cape Coast in Central Region and Damongo in Savanna Region is on course.

Our vision is to be an established Christian organization, actively rendering relief, social, and evangelism services. Our social services aim at giving a bright future to needy children; developing healthy young people, providing relief for the needy in communities, and promoting effectiveness among providers of youth and health services.

In the area of evangelism, our programs aim at providing relief for the needy in churches, promoting prayer among Christians, making disciples for Christ Jesus, and promoting effectiveness among Christian workers, churches and other Christian organizations.

Our members and partners help put smiles on the faces of peoples whiles developing ourselves.

Our programs include the following: Daycare and School for needy children, Children Services Homes (Formerly Orphanages) and Support Programs (mostly educational and occupational). We organize After-School activities, run Clubs and Youth Camps for young people. We also have Children and Youth Services Training Programs. We have Counseling Services for young people,and education and health promotion outreaches in our communities. We occasionally provide community charity services.

We do take up projects in youth development and adolescent health in the areas of support, information, education, and communication for young people.

We are collaborating for the development of an Institute for Children and Youth.


In the area of Evangelism, we preach the gospel of Christ Jesus in communities and schools and provide prayer and counseling support services. We host nondenominational Bible Fellowships and Conventions at our centers, and use our center facilities for retreat services and support of ministries and Christian discipleship. We also run Ministries Training programs. We occasionally provide charity services in churches.

We may take up special projects in support of Christian ministries and other missions

We are supporting in the development of an Evangelistic Resources Center and Mission Services.

We work with sponsors, volunteers, and other partners. Partners and volunteers from other nations have partnered and supported our children and education services over the years. Local donors and volunteers have also been very supportive. We continue to seek partnership and support for all our programs.
