Schools in Ghana are a vital part of the country's educational system, providing a range of educational opportunities to children and young adults. Ghana's educational system is based on the British system, meaning that the primary and secondary school systems are similar to those found in the United Kingdom. The schools in Ghana are managed by the Ghana Education Service (GES) and are divided into three categories – basic, secondary and tertiary.

Basic schools are the lowest level of schooling in Ghana, providing children between the ages of 3 and 15 with a basic education.
